Shopify allows up to 5 product or order codes and 1 shipping code per order, if each discount allows the others. One code carrying all three means the shopper types once and nothing is left out. It combines with nothing until you allow it in Combinations.

What does it cost?
Advanced discount code needs the Essential plan or higher. It is not on the free Starter plan or on Lite. On those you can build and save one as a draft; it stays blocked until you upgrade. Paid plans include a 3-day trial. The pricing page has the rest.
Does the discount apply on its own?
No. Unlike an automatic discount, the customer must enter the code at checkout. You can also share a link that applies the code for them while the campaign is active.
Can one code do product, order, and shipping together?
Yes. Each section has its own toggle. Enable one, two, or all three. Examples in the Help Center include 10% off the order plus free shipping, or 20% off selected products plus free shipping.
Can I limit how often the code is used?
Yes. Cap total redemptions across all customers, limit to one use per customer, both, or neither. Shopify enforces those limits at checkout.
Does free shipping on the same code only cover the discounted products?
No. Shipping eligibility uses its own requirements (no minimum, cart value, or item quantity). It is not limited to the products chosen in the product discount section.
Is there a limit when I target by tag or collection?
You can pick up to 100 product tags or 100 collections in one list. With Products and variants, only the exact variants you select are discounted, so check every size and colour you want included.
Can I change a campaign while it is running?
While it is live, only the end date and time can move. To change a section or a limit, deactivate it, edit, and activate it again. The code stops working while it is off.
