Black Friday and Cyber Monday bring a wave of customers who already plan to buy. Many come for a lower price, and your discount campaigns take care of that. What a discount doesn't do on its own is put a second item in the order. That's the job of an upsell.
An upsell offers a customer something extra at the right moment: a matching product on the product page, an add-on in the cart, or a one-click offer after they pay. Set up well, it gives each BFCM order a chance to carry more than one item, which matters in a week when your margins are thinner than usual.
How we picked
Together, these apps cover the places an offer can appear: the product page, the cart, checkout, and the page after payment. Read them as options, not a ranking. The right one for you depends on what you sell and where your customers make their decision.
Ratings, review counts and prices are as listed on the Shopify App Store on 30 September 2026. They change, so check the listing before you install.

8 Shopify upsell apps for BFCM 2026
1. Candy Rack • Upsell Cross-sell
- Developer: Digismoothie
- Rating: 4.9 stars from 262 reviews
- Price: Paid plans from $29.99/month, 8-day free trial
- Where it works: After Add to cart, cart drawer, checkout, post-purchase
Candy Rack shows a one-click upsell and cross-sell offer right after the customer hits Add to cart, so a related product or a bundle goes into the order before checkout. It also runs volume bundles, which suits a BFCM buy-more-pay-less offer. Past that first pop-up, you can place offers in its cart drawer, at checkout and after purchase, and A/B test them (show two versions and keep the one customers take). It's a good fit next to your discount campaigns when you want a higher basket, not only a lower price.

2. Kaching Bundles App & Upsells
- Developer: Kaching Bundles & Upsells
- Rating: 5.0 stars from 6,090 reviews
- Price: Paid plans from $14.99/month, 7-day free trial
- Where it works: Product page
Kaching puts bundle and quantity-break offers on the product page. You pick which products or collections qualify, then set the discount as a percentage, a dollar amount or a fixed price. It covers fixed bundles, mix-and-match bundles, multipacks and free gifts. Its dashboard shows the extra revenue the offers brought in, which helps when you decide what to keep running after BFCM. A good fit if most of your upsell happens on the product page, before the cart.

3. UFE Cross Sell & Upsell Bundle
- Developer: UFE (Upsell Funnel Engine)
- Rating: 4.8 stars from 497 reviews
- Price: Free plan up to 50 orders a month, paid plans from $9.99/month
- Where it works: Pop-ups, in-page blocks, floating widgets, post-purchase
UFE shows discounted one-click upsell offers as pop-ups, in-page blocks or floating widgets. It also handles product bundles, volume discounts, "frequently bought together" blocks and post-purchase upsells, so one app can cover several spots in the order. A/B testing is part of the free plan, and it works with Shopify Markets if you sell to more than one country. A good fit if you want to test upsells across the store and start without a monthly fee.
4. Upcart (Cart Drawer Cart Upsell)
- Developer: Rokt
- Rating: 4.7 stars from 947 reviews
- Price: Plans from $29.99/month, 14-day free trial
- Where it works: Slide-out cart drawer
Upcart gives your store a slide-out cart drawer that stays in reach while customers browse. Inside it you can show upsell and cross-sell picks for items that are often bought together, a progress bar toward a reward or free shipping, free gifts and in-cart discounts. You can design the drawer from templates or with your own code. A good fit if the cart is where your customers make their last call, and you want that moment to give them a reason to add one more item.

5. Zoorix: Bundles & Cross Sell
- Developer: Zoorix
- Rating: 4.9 stars from 388 reviews
- Price: Free plan, paid plans from $7.99/month with a 30-day free trial
- Where it works: Product page, cart drawer
Zoorix covers bundles, mix-and-match, build-a-box and volume discounts with tiered pricing, plus cross-sell suggestions on product pages and in the cart drawer. BOGO (buy one, get one) offers and free-shipping thresholds are in there too. The paid plans share the same core features as the free one; the main difference is removing the Zoorix branding. A good fit if your budget is tight before BFCM and you want bundles and cross-sells from one place.

6. Frequently Bought Together CBB
- Developer: Code Black Belt
- Rating: 4.9 stars from 1,202 reviews
- Price: Free Starter plan (3 manual bundles), paid plans from $14.99/month, 14-day free trial
- Where it works: Product page
This app adds a "frequently bought together" block to the product page, with one click to add the whole set to the cart. Bundles can come from the app's automatic recommendations or be picked by hand, and you can attach one of four discounts: a percentage, a fixed amount, a free item or free shipping. It also connects with review apps for social proof. A good fit for stores where products naturally go together, like a camera and a memory card.

7. ReConvert post purchase upsell

- Price: Free up to 50 orders or $50 in upsell revenue, paid plans from $9.99/month, 14-day free trial
- Where it works: Product page, cart, checkout, post-purchase, thank-you page
ReConvert works around the moment of payment: product, cart and checkout upsells, and a post-purchase offer the customer can take in one click. It also gives the thank-you page a job, with order tracking, a survey or a discount for sharing. You can segment offers and A/B test them. A good fit if you'd like the page after payment to do more than confirm the order.

8. Aftersell Post Purchase Upsell

- Where it works: After payment, checkout on Shopify Plus, thank-you page

On Shopify Plus stores it can also add upsells, upgrades and reviews directly at checkout, and it includes a cart builder and a thank-you page editor. It comes from the same developer as Upcart. A good fit if you want the post-purchase step and checkout offers handled in one place.

Pairing an upsell with your discount campaigns
Upsells and discounts do different jobs. The discount gives a customer a reason to buy. The upsell gives them a reason to add one more thing. They work well side by side when both offers point the same way.
Two pairings to try this BFCM:
- A Cart goal campaign with a cart upsell. Set a discount that unlocks at a cart total, say 10% off orders over $80, and let your cart drawer suggest the item that gets the customer there.
- A Quantity discount with a cross-sell. A tier table on the product page ("buy 3, save 15%") handles the multi-unit order, and a "frequently bought together" block adds a related product next to it.
One thing to check first: when your upsell app and your discount campaigns both change the price, decide how the discounts should combine, and place a full test order before the sale starts. If you run your discounts with Discounty, Quantity discount and Cart goal are both on every plan, including the free Starter plan.
Pick one placement to start, set it up a few weeks before Black Friday, and watch a normal week of orders first. That gives you time to fix anything before the traffic arrives.
