Campaign statuses in Discounty
What each Discounty campaign status means, why a discount is or isn't live yet, and what you can change in each status.
Every Discounty campaign has a status that tells you whether its discount is live, waiting, or being worked on. Knowing the status tells you why a discount does or doesn't show in your store yet, and what you can change at that moment.

Live and waiting statuses
Active
The campaign is live and its discount applies to eligible products, so customers can see and use the offer. While a campaign is Active you can only change its end date and time, its countdown timers, and auto-update. The app shows "You can only change end time of an active campaign. You have to deactivate the campaign to edit other fields."
Scheduled
The campaign has a future start date and time. Discounty starts processing it automatically at that time, and it then becomes Active. No discount applies until then.
Expired
The campaign has ended, either on its scheduled end date or because you deactivated it. Its discount no longer applies, and Bulk price editor prices return to their original values. The campaign and its order history are kept, so you can edit and reactivate it at any time.
Statuses that need your attention
Blocked
A Blocked campaign goes beyond what your current plan includes, so it isn't running. The campaign page explains the reason. For example, the campaign exceeds your "Active discounted variants" limit, you've exceeded your "Created campaigns" limit, or your plan doesn't include this campaign type or a feature the campaign uses.
To unblock it, upgrade to a plan that covers it. After you upgrade, Discounty applies the campaign automatically. You can also edit the campaign so it fits your current plan, or delete it.
If you downgrade your plan, you have 1 hour from the downgrade to deactivate or edit campaigns that exceed your new plan's limits. After that, extra campaigns are deactivated automatically.
Error
Something went wrong while processing the campaign. Hover over the status to see the error details. An Error campaign can't be edited, only deactivated. If you're not sure what the error means, contact our support team.
Processing statuses
While a campaign is processing, Discounty is updating your store. These statuses usually clear on their own.
Queued
The campaign is waiting for its turn. Discounty processes the campaigns in your store one after another, so a campaign can wait while another one is applied or reverted. Avoid editing the campaign again while it's queued.
Retrieving
Discounty is finding the products and variants that match your campaign's filters and loading their details from Shopify. No discount applies yet.
Applying
Discounty is applying the discount. Depending on the campaign type, it updates product prices, saves the discount settings, or creates the discount in Shopify.
Reverting
Discounty is removing the discount and restoring the original prices and settings. To avoid problems while a campaign is reverting, don't delete its discount in Shopify or change the affected product prices by hand.
Auto updating
The campaign has Auto-update the campaign's products when items are added or removed from your store. turned on, and Discounty is running a scheduled update: products that now match your filters are added and ones that no longer match are removed. No action is needed.
Updating products
You clicked Sync products on the campaign, and Discounty is updating its products now instead of waiting for the next scheduled update.
Frequently asked questions
Which statuses can I edit?
Scheduled, Expired and Blocked: you can edit every setting.
Active: you can change the end date and time, countdown timers and auto-update. To change anything else, deactivate the campaign, edit it, and activate it again.
Processing statuses (Queued, Retrieving, Applying, Reverting, Auto updating, Updating products): you can change the end date and time and the countdown timers. Everything else is locked until processing finishes.
Error: you can't edit the campaign. Deactivate it instead.
When can I delete a campaign?
You can delete a campaign that is Scheduled, Expired or Blocked. Active campaigns can't be deleted. The app shows "Active campaigns cannot be deleted". To delete an Active campaign:
Open the campaign.
Click Deactivate. The campaign moves to Expired.
Click Delete campaign.
Can I cancel a campaign while it's processing?
No. Wait until the campaign reaches Active, Scheduled or Expired, then make your change.
Can I reactivate an expired campaign?
Yes. Open the expired campaign and activate it again. Its settings are kept, so you can also adjust it before activating.
Why is my campaign taking a long time on Applying or Reverting?
Discounty updates product variants one at a time, so campaigns with many variants take longer. Other campaigns in your store also wait in the queue while a large one is processed. If a campaign seems stuck in Queued, Applying or Reverting for an unusually long time, stop editing it and contact our support team.
